Starting point at Xizharzi village for the one-way hike to Mutianyu.

Heading eastwards to Mutianyu.

This part of the wall is totally not restored, we almost had the wall to ourselves.

The views certainly got better as we went higher.

Descending was pretty tough because of the loose sands and gravels. We were literally sliding sometimes.

And we had to resort to being on our butts on some parts.

Yeah, no entry to visitors but we just came from that side!

There are options of sliding down or taking the cable car down the wall at Mutianyu.

Jinshanling watchtower
