Top 5 Most Scenic National Parks In USA

I am a big fan of America’s National Park. I wish I could spend my time camping around these national parks because that is the best way to soak up what nature has got to offer. Many of these national parks are no doubt beautiful but I came across these particularly five that captured my attention.

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

The area of this national park is real big, it extends into Idaho and Montana. If you remember how water fountains works, you get to see the real one here. Geysers eruption are stunning and explosive as the mother earth can get. There are many waterfalls in Yellowstone National Park, each captivating to their own. This place is a heaven for hikers and photographers. And not forgetting wildlife lovers, the wildlife are pretty diverse. One of my favorite moments would be herds of bison crossing. A couple of days is needed to see most of this national park due to its immerse size.

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

An inspiring landscape, Grand Canyon makes you realize how incredible nature can get. The Colorado River runs through the Grand Canyon and it can be seen easily from view spots. There are many hikes you can take in Grand Canyon, some of them taking you to the bottom of the canyon right along the Colorado River. There are three distinct areas you can get to; North Rim, West Rim featuring the Skywalk and the popular South Rim.

Zion National Park, Utah

Enjoy yourself in the narrow slot canyon with the sandstones cliffs. My particular favorite would be hiking the narrows. It was a pretty new experience for me; hiking in knee-deep water. It is one of the legendary hikes in Zion National Park.

Yosemite National Park, California

Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, and biological diversity. I had the opportunity to visit Yosemite three times for the past two years and I still want to go back again. This place is beautiful. Try the half dome hike, it offers breathtaking views of the Yosemite Valley and the surroundings. Read about my half dome day hike here.

Death Valley National Park, California

It is the lowest and hottest place in USA. It offers a different kind of landscape from the rest of the national parks, beautiful in its own way. The vastness and high temperatures of the Death Valley can be enriching and frustrating hot at the same time. Just make sure you bring enough water to hydrate yourself.

  1. I’ve just visited 3 of these – Yellowstone, Zion & Grand Canyon. We went to Bryce & Moab to and I think my favourite has to be Bryce. We had terrible weather there (snow and horrific wind) so didn’t spend as long as we liked there but the canyons were so diverse compared to some of the others. Will have to do Yosemite & Death Valley next time.

Love your blog by the way – just stumbled across it, now following 🙂

    1. I went to those parks in summer or fall so i did not get to have the snow experience. Think of it in another way, you guys saw those canyons in white! 🙂
